VIPS and VPRS are ideal tools for intra logistics, material handling, luggage movers and people carriers – offering a stand-alone indoor positioning system or an extension to the use of GNSS based technologies in areas where GNSS is not available, such as in warehouses, distribution centres, terminals and other logistical hubs.

The dynamic, real-time measurement and recording of 3D position to within ±2 cm provides an adaptable solution in the most challenging of environments.

Material handlers, baggage handlers, people carriers, loaders and unloaders are all moving towards becoming autonomous or driverless. As GNSS signals are typically unavailable indoors, the use of GNSS based tracking technologies is challenging or even impossible.

VIPS offers a reliable and easy to use complementary technology to GNSS based systems and still offers a 2 cm accuracy, extending tracking capabilities into any environment. VIPS seamlessly transitions from GNSS to VIPS-based position data.

VPRS delivers a solution for real-time, dynamic measurement between two objects at distances up to 50 m.

What are the Applications?

VIPS and VPRS have been designed by in-house RACELOGIC engineers, providing us with the agility for bespoke adaptations to meet customer needs, with no limits placed on the potential applications of this cutting-edge technology.

We are already in discussions with a variety of partners in the material handling and logistics industry to implement VIPS or VPRS for the following applications:

Forklifts driving in and out of warehouses using GPS and VIPS in parallel
Autonomous baggage and people carriers
